Backpack to Briefcase, takes place on January, 12, 2012, and offers two workshops that will help students focus on retaining life-long skills that are beneficial after graduation, which will be presented by the Career Centre at York University. Both workshops will be offered in Founders Assembly Hall (152 Founders College).
The first workshop is titled “What Can I do with my degree” taking place on January 12th, 2012 from 10:00 am until noon. In this session you will learn how the skills you are developing in your degree and the experiences you are gaining help build a foundation for your future. Registration for this event starts at 9:15 am. Refreshments will be provided.

The second workshop is titled “ Job Search Strategies” occurs 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. The second session is aimed at how to utilize various methods for discovering and creating your career opportunities. Also, this session will show you how to build relationships that support you in discovering the hidden opportunities. Registration for this event starts at 12:30pm. Refreshments will be provided.

Thanh Do, Chair and Grad Transition Director 2011-2012, says “I want students to know the resources that are available on campus which can help them out a lot during school, and the skills they learn can also help them after they’re finished with school.”
